Job Description

As a CloudOps Intern, candidates will assist with cloud environment operations, monitoring, system maintenance, and basic automation under the supervision of experienced engineers. The role provides an opportunity to develop practical knowledge of operating systems, virtualization, endpoint security, and IT service management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Currently pursuing a final-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems, including Ubuntu and CentOS.
- Basic awareness of cloud computing concepts and cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Basic networking knowledge, preferably in a cloud environment.
- Basic understanding of databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle is an advantage.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python is beneficial.
- Basic knowledge of virtualization and VMware is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Awareness of IT security concepts, including patching, antivirus, and endpoint detection and response (EDR).
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Analytical thinking, troubleshooting abilities, and attention to detail.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day cloud environment operations and monitoring under supervision.
- Support patch management activities for Windows, Linux, and related systems.
- Assist with VMware tasks, including virtual machine health checks, snapshot management, and routine maintenance.
- Support the installation and basic maintenance of endpoint security tools such as EDR solutions.
- Help develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Maintain system documentation, processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Raise and track tickets and incidents using the team’s IT service management (ITSM) tool.
- Follow established incident escalation procedures.
- Participate in training sessions and shadow senior engineers to gain practical operational experience.
