  • Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, data validation, and performance-aware queries.
  • Strong Python skills for reproducible data analysis using common data science tools.
  • Good understanding of statistics and experimentation.
  • Knowledge of hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, bias, confounding, sample size, and statistical power.
  • Ability to convert business questions into structured analytical problems.
  • Experience in customer analytics, behavioural analysis, funnels, customer journeys, cohort analysis, and campaign measurement.
  • Understanding of commercial concepts such as profitability and unit economics.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to explain analytical findings clearly and support business decisions.

Must Have Skills

SQL

Candidates should be comfortable writing complex SQL queries, joining datasets, validating data quality, and creating reliable datasets for analysis.

Python

Python is required for analytical workflows, reproducible analysis, statistical work, and developing lightweight predictive models using common data science libraries.

Statistics and Experimentation

A strong statistical foundation is important for evaluating experiments, interpreting uncertainty, testing hypotheses, and understanding potential sources of bias.

Customer Analytics

The role requires an understanding of customer behaviour, customer journeys, retention, engagement, segmentation, cross-selling, and commercial performance.

Predictive Modelling

Candidates should understand how predictive models can support business decisions, particularly for customer churn, retention targeting, response propensity, and customer value estimation.

Communication and Collaboration

The position requires collaboration with Product, Marketing, Operations, Engineering, and other stakeholders. Candidates must be able to communicate insights and recommendations clearly.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

The following additional skills are preferred:

  • Familiarity with quasi-experimental and causal inference approaches, including difference-in-differences and matching or propensity-based methods.
  • Experience with interpretable predictive models such as logistic regression, linear regression, and tree-based methods.
  • Understanding of model evaluation, data leakage checks, calibration, model drift, and monitoring.
  • Interest in product analytics and commercial problem-solving.
  • Ability to balance analytical accuracy with business requirements and decision timelines.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality data analyses and predictive models.
  • Participate in peer reviews to improve analytical quality and communication.
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to convert business questions into hypotheses, success metrics, and recommendations.
  • Measure customer journeys and commercial outcomes, including engagement, retention, cross-selling, and unit economics.
  • Design, execute, and evaluate A/B tests and other controlled experiments.
  • Define experiment plans, consider guardrail metrics and sample sizes, and interpret results with appropriate uncertainty.
  • Apply statistical methods to identify performance drivers, customer segments, and cohort-level trends.
  • Build, validate, and maintain lightweight predictive models for churn risk, retention targeting, response propensity, and customer value.
  • Follow reproducible analysis practices, including documentation, code reviews, and clear metric definitions.
  • Collaborate with data engineering, analytics engineering, machine learning engineering, and dashboard development teams.
  • Ensure datasets are suitable for analysis and experimentation.
  • Present insights in clear narratives for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support product roadmaps and business decisions through evidence-based recommendations.
