Key Responsibilities
As a Platform Engineer at IBM Client Engineering, you will:
- Use hybrid cloud skills such as AI, DevOps, DevSecOps, automation, networking, and storage to deliver business value.
- Participate in client sessions using technologies like Red Hat OpenShift, IBM Cloud Paks, and Kubernetes.
- Support solution architecture plans and act as a hands-on builder during client engagements.
- Provide advice on solution architecture and ensure alignment with best practices.
- Collaborate with deployment teams to ensure seamless platform transitions.
- Define and communicate the technical and commercial value of IBM solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- Hands-on experience with cloud and AI technologies.
- Knowledge of virtualized, cloud-based, and on-premise platforms.
- Experience in building automation workflows for applications and infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, Rust, Ansible, or HCL.
- Customer-facing experience in technical solution teams.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- At least 1 year of experience in platform engineering, site reliability, or hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience deploying solutions on AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, or Google Cloud.
- Exposure to roles like Solution Architect or Cloud Consultant.
- Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, GCP, DevOps, CNCF).
- Knowledge of Well-Architected Frameworks from leading cloud providers.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with teams such as Product Management and Customer Success.
Salary Package (Expected)
