Job Purpose
The Associate Relationship Officer (ARO) role is designed to strengthen household-level relationships in rural areas by offering personalized banking services. The role bearer will:
- Support the Relationship Manager in identifying local business owners, entrepreneurs, and households with financial needs.
- Deepen customer relationships by cross-selling banking products, ensuring high service quality, and driving financial inclusion.
- Focus on customer acquisition and retention to achieve individual and branch-level sales targets.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage zoning activities to map household financial needs in assigned villages or catchment areas.
- Conduct end-user checks after loan disbursements while meeting monthly and annual group loan targets.
- Evaluate customer requirements and identify opportunities to cross-sell relevant products based on lifestyle and risk profile.
- Drive liabilities business in rural markets by generating leads and opening new accounts.
- Achieve branch and individual sales targets through customer acquisition, referrals, and relationship management.
- Educate and encourage customers to adopt online and digital banking platforms.
- Maintain high loan collections efficiency through disciplined follow-ups.
- Ensure accurate documentation of loans and savings accounts in coordination with operations officers.
- Conduct field audits, customer verifications, and maintain compliance with banking standards.
- Stay updated on bank products, credit policies, and market trends to deliver effective customer service.
- Support community development initiatives and livelihood advancement programs in rural areas.
