Job Description
Fujitsu is looking for a Junior Data Engineer to support its data engineering operations and production environments. The role involves monitoring data pipelines, performing first-level troubleshooting, validating data, updating tickets, and maintaining operational documentation.
The candidate will work under the supervision of experienced engineers and gain practical exposure to data engineering support processes. A basic understanding of SQL, ETL/ELT concepts, data validation, monitoring, and incident management is required for this position.
Qualifications & Skills

Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitor scheduled data pipeline runs, job statuses, alerts, and data refresh activities.
- Check file arrivals and identify potential issues in data pipelines.
- Perform first-level checks for failed jobs and incomplete data loads.
- Investigate missing files, data mismatches, and system alerts.
- Create, update, and track incidents, service requests, tasks, and change requests through ServiceNow.
- Run basic SQL queries to perform data checks and validate job outputs.
- Support source-to-target data reconciliation activities.
- Collect logs, screenshots, error messages, and other information before escalating complex issues.
- Assist with maintaining runbooks, SOPs, operational checklists, and documentation.
- Support daily status updates and operational reporting.
- Assist with routine production support and monitoring activities.
- Work with senior engineers to resolve technical issues and improve support processes.
