Job Description
Qualcomm is looking for Modem-RF Wireless Software Engineers to join its engineering team in India. The role involves developing and validating software for Qualcomm’s Modem-RF wireless chipsets.
As an Engineer – RF SW, you will work closely with RF hardware, modem/baseband, RF ASIC, systems, and test engineering teams. The position provides an opportunity to work on technologies related to wireless communications, embedded software, RF transceivers, and next-generation cellular systems.
Fresh graduates should have a strong understanding of C or C++ programming, embedded software, digital and wireless communications, ECE fundamentals, and RF theory.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
- 2024, 2025, and 2026 graduates can apply.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong programming skills in C and/or C++.
- Good understanding of software engineering concepts.
- Knowledge of embedded real-time systems and RTOS.
- Understanding of wireless communication systems.
- Good knowledge of digital communication and RF theory.
- Understanding of ECE fundamentals.
- Knowledge of LTE or 5G NR is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with modem or communication device driver development is beneficial.
- Knowledge of radio access technologies such as LTE and 5G NR is preferred.
- Good understanding of wireless systems, communication theory, and radio architecture.
- Familiarity with RF and hardware test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and protocol test equipment is an advantage.

- Develop and validate software for Qualcomm Modem-RF wireless chipsets.
- Develop drivers for advanced Modem-RF transceivers.
- Work closely with RF hardware, modem/baseband, and RF ASIC teams.
- Create and optimize software modules and algorithms for modem and RF transceivers.
- Support improvements in system performance, factory yields, and RF testability.

- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to identify and resolve technical problems.
