Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Software Developer – AI/ML at Siemens, you will:
- Design, develop, and optimize NLP-driven AI solutions using techniques such as NER, embeddings, and summarization.
- Build and productionize RAG pipelines and agentic workflows for context-aware applications.
- Fine-tune and deploy LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Falcon, LLaMA, etc.) for domain-specific use cases.
- Collaborate with data scientists, backend engineers, and cloud architects to deliver AI-first systems.
- Integrate open-source AI frameworks and APIs for generative use cases.
- Monitor and enhance model performance, accuracy, and latency in real-world applications.
- Implement observability, monitoring, and explainability features in deployed AI models.
- Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, ML, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of NLP and Generative AI techniques.
- Understanding of LLM architectures, embeddings, fine-tuning methods (LoRA, PEFT), and vector search.
- Proficiency in Python with hands-on experience in frameworks like LangChain, Hugging Face Transformers, LlamaIndex, Smol Agents.
- Familiarity with cloud ML platforms – AWS SageMaker, AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI Service, Azure ML Studio.
- Exposure to RAG pipelines, agent-based architectures, and LangGraph orchestration.
- Knowledge of ML observability/explainability tools (TruEra, Arize, WhyLabs).
- Understanding of real-time NLP challenges such as streaming, latency optimization, and multi-turn dialogues.
- Exposure to DevOps for AI pipelines using Terraform/CDK is a plus.
- Domain knowledge in Electrification, Energy, or Industrial AI is an added advantage.
