Role and Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer at IBM ISDL, you will:
- Work across product development phases: Design, Development, Testing, and Support.
- Collaborate with product management and global teams to deliver next-gen solutions.
- Develop enhancements, code solutions, perform testing, and resolve client issues.
- Work on cloud software, storage systems, operating systems, virtualization, and system reliability.
- Participate in automation, validation, and performance analysis.
- Contribute to open-source communities and IBM’s hybrid cloud ecosystem.
Required Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of Operating Systems, Cloud Concepts, Security, and Virtualization.
- Skills in C, C++, Go Lang, Python, Shell Scripting, Ansible.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, OpenStack, Container Technologies, REST APIs, DevOps.
- Ability to work with GitHub and open-source tools.

For AI Software Engineer Roles:
- Knowledge of AI/ML/DL frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, XGBoost).
- Programming skills in C, C++, R, Python, Go Lang.
- Strong understanding of NLP, Deep Learning Compilers, and Data Science workflows.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, CouchDB, and cloud storage solutions.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Java, ReactJS, Bash, PowerShell.
- Knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift, Microservices, Kubernetes/Docker.
- Understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, DAS, RAID, file systems).
- Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux/Unix environments.
- Exposure to cloud storage solutions (AWS S3, Azure Blob, Google Cloud Storage).
- Understanding of backup and recovery tools (e.g., Veeam, Commvault).
