Job Description
Lennox is looking for enthusiastic Graduate Engineering Trainees to join its engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to product design, value engineering, cost optimization, project execution, and manufacturing support. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative engineering solutions while gaining hands-on experience with real-world product development processes.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to work on engineering projects, design improvements, supplier coordination, testing, and product innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and implement value engineering and cost reduction opportunities.
- Prepare and manage engineering project plans.
- Analyze ideas and develop business cases for engineering improvements.
- Design sheet metal and plastic components using engineering design methodologies.
- Perform engineering analysis using DFMEA, Risk Analysis, RCA, and NUDs.
- Develop design verification and testing plans.
- Coordinate design reviews with cross-functional teams.
- Support product simulations and physical testing activities.
- Work with suppliers on prototyping, tooling, and sample development.
- Coordinate Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) for design implementation.
- Support product teardown, benchmarking, and value analysis initiatives.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement engineering improvements.
Required Skills
- Strong project management skills.
- Knowledge of engineering design principles.
- Understanding of sheet metal and plastic component design.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Knowledge of Engineering Change Notice (ECN) processes.
- Understanding of DFMEA and functional analysis.
- Knowledge of component testing and validation techniques.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
