Job Description
Microsoft is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Universal Print team in Hyderabad. Universal Print is a cloud-based printing service that provides a secure and scalable printing solution through Azure and Microsoft 365.
As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to production cloud services used by customers worldwide. You will work alongside experienced engineers and gain practical exposure to the complete software development lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and live service operations.
The role provides an opportunity to develop your skills in backend engineering, cloud computing, REST APIs, service reliability, security, and modern software development practices.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Equivalent practical software development experience may also be considered.
- Academic, internship, or early professional experience in software development is preferred.
- Knowledge of C#/.NET or other object-oriented programming languages.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and basic web or service concepts.
- Familiarity with Git-based development workflows.
- Basic understanding of unit testing and software quality practices.
- Internship or academic project experience with cloud-connected applications is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms or distributed systems.
