Job Description
As an SDET Engineer, you will work with development and product teams to ensure software quality through testing and automation. The role involves creating and executing test cases, developing automation scripts, testing APIs and applications, and supporting the reliability of software systems.
Candidates will get exposure to tools and technologies including Java, Selenium, Rest Assured, Postman, MySQL, MongoDB, Jenkins, JMeter, and CI/CD.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Create, execute, and maintain functional and regression test cases.
- Develop API test automation scripts using Java and Rest Assured.
- Automate application workflows using Selenium.
- Perform API testing using Postman.
- Identify, reproduce, and track software defects.
- Work with MySQL and MongoDB for data validation.
- Support testing of event-driven systems and Kafka-based platforms.
- Assist with performance and load testing using JMeter.
- Execute automated test suites through CI/CD pipelines.
- Work with tools such as Jenkins and Git.
- Collaborate with development and product teams in an Agile environment.
- Continuously learn and adopt new testing tools and best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
- 0–1 years of experience in software testing, QA, or test automation.
- B.Tech, BE, M.Tech, or MCA qualification.
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts and SDLC.
- Knowledge of test cases, test scenarios, and defect life cycle.
- Basic proficiency in Java or another programming language.
- Exposure to API testing using Postman or Rest Assured.
- Basic knowledge of Selenium or other UI automation frameworks.
- Understanding of SQL and databases such as MySQL or MongoDB.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD concepts.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
Desired Skills
Candidates with exposure to machine learning or data science model testing may have an added advantage.
Knowledge of testing LLM-powered applications, prompt testing, output validation, or tools such as LangSmith and OpenAI Evals is also desirable.
