HPE Datacenter Networking is looking for an entry-level or junior Software Engineer with an interest in software development, cloud-native products, distributed systems, and large-scale automation.

The selected candidate will work under the guidance of senior engineers to design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for new products and software enhancements. The role provides an opportunity to work across areas including networking, databases, utilities, Internet-related tools, and hardware-software interactions.

Candidates will contribute to well-defined product features and subcomponents while developing their professional knowledge through code reviews, team initiatives, mentorship, and collaboration with senior engineers.

The role also involves solving problems related to large-scale automation, AI Agents, and AI Co-pilots in modern cloud-native environments.

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs.

Qualifications & Skills

  • B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science or a related major.
  • 0–2 years of hands-on experience, including internships, co-ops, or academic projects.
  • Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Python, Golang, Java, C, or C++.
  • Foundational knowledge of distributed systems.
  • Understanding of Cloud Native software development and microservices.
  • Basic understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts.
  • Exposure to virtualization and infrastructure management technologies such as KVM, OpenStack, Kubernetes, or VMware.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure components such as Cassandra, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Docker, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Understanding of software testability, observability, and debuggability.
  • Exposure to automation and deployment tools such as Ansible, Helm, or Terraform.
  • Ability to write automated test cases and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of REST or gRPC APIs.
  • Interest in UI/UX automation and monitoring frameworks.
  • Willingness to learn monitoring technologies such as OpenTelemetry, Datadog, or SigNoz.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn from senior engineers and accept feedback.
  • Curiosity about the latest technology and development tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AI/ML and AI Agentic frameworks.
  • Knowledge of tools such as LangChain and FastAPI.
  • Exposure to AIOps/MLOps concepts or tools such as SageMaker, Databricks, Vertex AI, Azure ML, or MLflow.
  • Exposure to Cloud Native GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Argo Workflows.
  • Academic publications or technical research experience.
  • Participation in hackathons.
  • Open-source contributions.
  • Participation in technical communities or professional organizations such as IEEE.

Work Environment
