Roles Offered
Cisco is hiring interns under three software engineering tracks. You will be considered for one based on your skill set and interest:
1. Software Engineer – Networking Protocols
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, and switching fundamentals.
- Familiarity with networking tools and basic security technologies (e.g., VPN, Firewall, IDS/IPS).
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Hands-on experience in network debugging is a plus.
2. Software Engineer – Application Software
- Understanding of OOP and software design.
- Interest in building scalable applications, including cloud and mobile.
- Exposure to application debugging and UI/UX concepts.
- Experience with open-source tools or mobile development is a plus.
3. Software Engineer – Embedded & Systems Development
- Deep understanding of operating systems and system-level programming.
- Exposure to kernel programming, device drivers, and embedded systems.
- Strong knowledge of Python, system-level debugging tools, and system architecture.
