Job Description
Meta is looking for an ASIC Engineer, Design to join its Infrastructure organization in Bangalore. The role focuses on developing cutting-edge ASIC accelerators that support Meta’s large-scale data center infrastructure and workloads including artificial intelligence, machine learning, video transcoding, and network acceleration.
As an ASIC Engineer, you will work as part of a specialized engineering team responsible for designing and improving hardware accelerators. You will have opportunities to work with experts in areas such as AI/ML, video processing, and computer architecture while contributing to the development of efficient and high-performance hardware.
Qualifications & Skills
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Degree must be completed before joining Meta.
- Exposure to micro-architecture development.
- Exposure to RTL development using Verilog, SystemVerilog, or HLS.
- Knowledge of computer architecture fundamentals.
- Understanding of digital logic and logic design fundamentals.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with engineering teams.
- Candidates must obtain and maintain the required work authorization for the country of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with High Performance Computing.
- Experience with Lint, CDC, synthesis, and power optimization.
- Master’s degree or currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in data path development.
- Experience with High-Level Synthesis (HLS).
- Scripting knowledge using Python or Perl.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Participate in micro-architecture, design, and verification reviews.
- Provide technical feedback during design and verification activities.
- Design and develop RTL or HLS code for various IPs.
- Analyze hardware designs and improve Power, Performance, and Area (PPA).
- Support the development and maintenance of verification infrastructure.
- Analyze verification coverage and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support simulation acceleration activities.
- Contribute to post-silicon validation.
- Work with experienced engineers to develop advanced hardware accelerator ASICs.
- Collaborate with teams working on AI/ML, video transcoding, networking, and other high-performance workloads.
