Role Description

The Infrastructure Core Products (ICP) – Global Network Services (GNS) team at Deutsche Bank is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the organization’s worldwide network infrastructure. This includes operations across 2,500 offices in more than 50 countries.

As an Associate Engineer – NetDevOps, you will play a key role in managing complex network deployments and implementing automation solutions. The role demands strong technical knowledge, teamwork, and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute deployment of network infrastructure components including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems across multiple locations.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to enhance network design, optimize performance, and reduce latency.
• Deploy automated network solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
• Maintain and update network documentation, deployment procedures, and configuration details.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers for smooth project execution.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and drive automation wherever possible.

Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a combination of technical skills, analytical thinking, and collaborative mindset.

Essential Skills:

• Up to 2 years of experience in a corporate or global network environment.
• Good understanding of networking protocols like BGP, OSPF, MPLS, STP, and VXLAN.
• Hands-on experience with network hardware from Cisco, Juniper, Arista, or Fortinet.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive approach toward problem-solving and continuous learning.

Preferred / Good to Have:

• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Scripting experience in Python, YAML, or JSON.
• Working knowledge of Git or other version control systems.
• Industry certifications like Cisco CCNA or equivalent are an added advantage.
