Deloitte Securitization Analyst Job Description
Deloitte is looking for an Analyst to join its Audit and Assurance business group, specifically within the Securitization team. The selected candidate will work with professionals from different backgrounds to support securitization transactions across multiple asset classes, including Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLO), Residential Mortgage Backed Securities (RMBS), Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS), and Asset Backed Securities (ABS).
The role involves reviewing payment dates, performing asset due diligence, analyzing collateral, recalculating transaction cash flows, and supporting various portfolio and investor analytics. Candidates will also work with transaction documents, securitization models, Excel-based analysis, and proprietary tools.
The position provides an opportunity to develop expertise in structured finance, securitization transactions, financial analysis, legal documentation, and transaction modeling while collaborating with Deloitte’s US engagement teams.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Recalculate expected asset and security cash flows for different securitization products.
- Calculate tranche payments and investor analytics such as declining balance tables, weighted average lives, and pre-tax yield to maturity.
- Analyze transaction results, identify discrepancies, and verify compliance with offering documents.
- Review and extract important information from legal and offering documents.
- Work with documents including Indentures, Offering Circulars, Private Placement Memorandums, Credit Agreements, Private Rating Letters, and Rate Reset Notices.
- Conduct due diligence on corporate loans and securitization transactions.
- Perform collateral analysis for CMBS, RMBS, ABS, and CLO transactions.
- Recompute statistical attributes, stratification tables, and pool percentages using asset-level portfolio data.
- Develop, maintain, and roll forward securitization models.
- Support Agreed Upon Procedures report issuance and other project deliverables.
- Collaborate with US engagement teams on transaction-related activities.
- Prepare review summaries and client correspondence.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and engagement teams.
- Develop subject matter expertise in specific asset classes.
- Stay updated on relevant securitization and financial market trends.
Qualifications & Skills
- Candidates should have a B.Tech or MBA qualification.
- Strong analytical and computer skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
- Ability to read and understand legal and financial documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
