About the Role
As a Full Stack/Backend Engineer on an agile team, you will experience various parts of Agoda’s systems that handle millions of users every day across the globe, 24/7. You’ll develop solutions using frontend technologies (React/Redux/TypeScript) powered by a backend stack of C#, Scala, or Kotlin on a private cloud, while using A/B testing and data to guide product decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions in alignment with project requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and technical designs.
- Develop frontend solutions (React/Redux/TypeScript) powered by backend stack (C#/Scala/Kotlin/Private cloud).
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
- Use A/B testing and make product-related decisions based on data.
- Create reports and analytics for business use cases using Hadoop, Grafana, and similar services.
- Create real-time monitoring for production systems you have built.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices and coding standards.
Eligibility Criteria
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, preferably with less than two years of experience. A Bachelor’s degree in any stream with coding experience, or completion of a software engineering-related bootcamp, is required. Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to Delhi NCR, and must have current work authorization in India (no visa sponsorship provided).
Required Skills
- Coding skill in any language, e.g., Java, C#, JavaScript, Python, or Kotlin.
- Understanding of basic data structures and algorithms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Great problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Bonus: experience with data persistence (RDBMS/NoSQL), modern frontend/backend/mobile tech, CI/CD, or an active GitHub profile.
