Job Description
The Junior Engineer will support the Quality Engineering team in delivering high-quality software products through manual and automated testing.
The role provides an opportunity to work with experienced SDETs, QA Engineers, and Developers while learning automation technologies and software testing practices.
Qualifications & Skills
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Basic understanding of software testing and QA practices.
- Knowledge of programming fundamentals with Java and/or C#.
- Familiarity with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Basic understanding of API testing and RESTful services.
- Understanding of relational databases and database testing.
- Basic SQL knowledge.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Exposure to Git or other version control systems.
- Understanding of CI/CD and Jenkins is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated UI and API test scripts.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Work with Java, C#, Selenium, Cypress, and Playwright automation frameworks.
- Test web applications, REST APIs, and backend services.
- Perform database validation and data integrity checks.
- Write and execute basic SQL queries.
- Analyze test results and assist in defect identification and tracking.
- Collaborate with developers and QA engineers.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies.
- Support continuous integration and continuous testing through Jenkins.
- Help improve automation coverage and test reliability.
- Follow software development and testing best practices.
