Eaton Assistant Analyst – PTP Job Description

Eaton is looking for an Assistant Analyst – PTP to become part of its Accounts Payable GFSS team in Pune. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing Procure-to-Pay transactional activities for customers in the EMEA region.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day Procure-to-Pay (PTP) transactional activities for EMEA customers.
• Process invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Perform invoice indexing and related processing activities.
• Manage invoice exceptions and provide appropriate resolutions.
• Resolve issues related to invoice holds.
• Understand process workflows and the impact of process interconnections.
• Ensure adherence to local statutory requirements and Eaton corporate policies.
• Support financial accounting activities in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Promote and maintain an effective internal control environment.
• Support compliance with US GAAP, local statutory requirements, and corporate policies.
• Follow Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and internal control procedures.
• Collaborate with Team Leaders, Deputy Managers, transitions teams, and other stakeholders.
• Work across functions and business lines to achieve operational goals.
• Collaborate with peers within GFSS to support broader organizational initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or MBA.
• 0–3 years of invoice management experience.
• Experience with financial accounting systems in Accounts Payable (AP) and/or General Ledger (GL).
• Knowledge of SAP and/or Oracle platforms.
• Basic understanding of the Procure-to-Pay process.
• Familiarity with Oracle R12, SAP, MFGPRO, and MS Office is beneficial.
• Good financial and accounting knowledge.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Good relationship-building and influencing skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, functions, and business lines.
