About the Role
As a member of the Network Operations Residency Program, you will gain direct exposure to how Google designs, operates, and maintains its network reliably at massive scale. NORPers monitor network performance, coordinate planned maintenance, adjust hardware components, and respond to connectivity issues, before transitioning into a Network Engineer, Software Engineer, or Technical Program Management role after their rotations.
Key Responsibilities

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates need a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Internship experience in network engineering, data center operations, or system administration is required, along with familiarity with networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, ARP, IP Tables, and routing, or Unix systems administration and coding/scripting in Java, C/C++, shell, or Python.
