Job Description
Hitachi Energy is looking for a Production Engineer to support and manage production activities at its Savli, Gujarat location.
The role involves production planning, monitoring production activities, maintaining safety and quality standards, improving productivity, coordinating with different teams, and ensuring timely delivery of products.
The selected candidate will work closely with manufacturing, planning, purchasing, stores, and other teams to ensure smooth production operations.
Qualifications & Skills
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering with relevant experience.

Roles and Responsibilities
The Production Engineer will be responsible for:
- Maintaining Hitachi Energy safety and quality standards
- Ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and procedures
- Planning and managing production activities
- Setting daily, weekly, and monthly production objectives
- Communicating objectives to production employees and contract workers
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives such as 6S and Six Sigma
- Coordinating with planning and order-handling teams
- Working with purchase and stores teams to ensure material availability
- Ensuring in-process quality checks
- Supporting skill certification of production employees
- Improving production productivity
- Preparing KPI reports related to performance and progress
- Identifying efficiency gaps and implementing improvements
- Managing the complete production line from manufacturing through packing and dispatch
- Ensuring compliance with applicable internal and external regulations
- Promoting safety and integrity across the workplace
