About the Role

NVIDIA ASIC Verification Engineer Recruitment

As an ASIC Verification Engineer, you will verify the design and implementation of NVIDIA’s industry-leading GPUs, working on unit-level testbenches, directed and random tests, and test infrastructure. You will partner closely with RTL and architecture teams to refine microarchitecture plans, and contribute to the future direction of verification methodology used to validate GPUs powering everything from consumer graphics to AI and self-driving cars.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop unit-level testbenches, directed and random tests, and verification infrastructure.
  • Define verification scope and build infrastructure including BFMs, checkers, and monitors.
  • Implement test and coverage plans to verify design correctness.
  • Partner closely with RTL, architecture, and software teams to refine microarchitecture plans.
  • Contribute to the future direction of verification methodology for GPU testbenches.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field can apply. Experience with Universal Verification Methodology (UVM), SystemVerilog checkers and scoreboards, and digital logic design fundamentals is expected, along with a passion for pushing the limits of high-performance, low-power silicon design.

Required Skills

  • Experience with Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) and SystemVerilog.
  • Strong understanding of digital logic design and computer architecture fundamentals.
  • Experience building testbenches, checkers, scoreboards, and monitors.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills for complex hardware verification.
  • Ability to collaborate across global teams spanning software, architecture, and design.

Recommended Certifications & Skills to Stand Out

For ASIC/hardware verification roles in general, candidates commonly strengthen their applications with strong, demonstrable SystemVerilog and UVM project experience, since these are the industry-standard tools for chip verification. A solid grounding in digital logic design (through coursework or a certification such as those offered by Coursera or edX on VLSI design) and hands-on exposure to simulation tools (Synopsys VCS, Cadence Xcelium, or open-source alternatives like Verilator) can help candidates stand out. Building a personal or academic RTL verification project — even a small module verified end-to-end with a UVM testbench — is one of the most effective ways to demonstrate practical readiness for this kind of role.

Salary & Benefits

NVIDIA offers industry-leading compensation along with equity and comprehensive benefits, giving engineers the opportunity to work on some of the most advanced GPU architectures in the world, powering AI, gaming, high-performance computing, and autonomous vehicles.

Career Growth Opportunities

ASIC Verification Engineers can progress into roles such as Senior ASIC Verification Engineer, Verification Methodology Lead, or specialized roles in formal verification and post-silicon validation as they build deeper GPU architecture expertise.

Why Join NVIDIA?

NVIDIA pioneered accelerated computing and continues to define the future of AI, gaming, and high-performance computing. Working at NVIDIA means collaborating with a global team of extraordinary engineers whose mission is to push the frontiers of what is possible in computing today.
