About the Role
The team AutomotiveMastermind provides U.S. automotive dealers with AI/behavior prediction analytics software and marketing solutions that improve the vehicle purchase process. As an Associate Quality Engineer, you will deliver automated and manual testing in collaboration with the Scrum team, partnering closely with developers to create test strategies, plans, and execution approaches using tools and languages like Java, Python, and Selenium.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement test strategies and test plans based on system specifications and user stories.
- Develop and execute automated test suites across UI and API layers.
- Write maintainable automated feature scripts using Java and Python.
- Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA and/or Azure DevOps.
- Support CI/CD pipeline integration for automated test execution and reporting.
Required Skills
- Practical experience implementing automated solutions in Java.
- Hands-on experience with Python and TypeScript.
- Experience with testing tools/frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, or JMeter.
- Experience testing modern Web UIs built with ReactJS and Angular.
- Working knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, and data validation techniques.
Recommended Certifications & Skills to Stand Out
For test automation roles in general, an ISTQB Foundation Level certification is a widely recognized starting point. Hands-on practice with Selenium or Playwright using Java or Python, along with basic API testing experience (Postman), helps candidates demonstrate practical readiness. Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and AWS cloud-native testing environments is a strong plus for this specific role.
