The Computer Vision Engineer II role focuses on building robust, production-ready computer vision pipelines for real-world applications. - Build and maintain automated training and evaluation pipelines for model updates, benchmarking, and deployment.
- Optimize vision models for latency and throughput using tools such as TensorRT, OpenVINO, DeepStream, or ONNX Runtime.
- Develop logic for complex event processing by correlating detections and applying temporal and spatial rules.
- Create tools and scripts for dataset management, automated annotation, quality checks, synthetic data generation, and active learning.
- Troubleshoot vision performance issues involving lighting, occlusion, and camera angles.
- Document vision pipeline architecture, model interfaces, performance benchmarks, and deployment guides.
Qualifications & Skills
Candidates should have:
- Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Python.
- Strong understanding of computer vision fundamentals, including image processing, filtering, morphology, geometry, feature extraction, and camera models/calibration.
- Proficiency with OpenCV and NumPy.
- Experience with at least one deep learning framework such as PyTorch or TensorFlow for vision applications.
- Hands-on project or internship experience developing and evaluating vision models.
- Knowledge of CNN architectures such as ResNet, MobileNet, and EfficientNet.
- Familiarity with object detection approaches such as YOLO, SSD, and Faster R-CNN.
- Knowledge of tracking and segmentation approaches.
- Familiarity with video processing concepts such as codecs, containers, RTSP, HLS, and frame-level data handling.
- Understanding of Git, unit testing, debugging, and software integration.
- Ability to evaluate vision performance using metrics such as precision, recall, F1, mAP, IoU, MOTA, FPS, and CPU/GPU/RAM usage.
